Meet Kate Cantrell, Collierville Schools Student of the Month! I have had the privilege of knowing her for a large portion of her life, but we really became friends when she was in the 6th grade and she was the only kid showing up to Wyldlife. I would plan for more but then it would end up being me and Kate. Not sure if she truly knows how grateful I was that she would show up. We would hang out, talk life, dream about the future of Young Life and pray that The Lord would provide. Fast forward to 7 years later and Wyldlife has grown from Kate to often 100+ and Young Life has done the same. One kid, consistently inviting, praying, and showing up not for their sake but for the sake of Gods kingdom growing. Not for them to grow in popularity but for their friends, their future friends, for their friends friends to fall in love with Jesus. We have had ups and downs, twists and turns, but Kate has never wavered or been afraid to invite kids in, or call out when things aren’t working. She’s honest, she’s direct, she’s secure, she cares deeply about injustice and I am grateful to have her as a friend. And to think, she’s just getting started!

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
