Starting school for the very first time, especially when you’re sharing the halls with the “big kids”, can feel a little intimidating. But our RISE Learning Academy scholars adjusted quickly, found their rhythm, and knocked out their first week like champs!

A huge thank you to our incredible Pre-K team for making sure the newest members of the MCP community felt welcomed, supported, and excited to learn from day one.

We’re already so proud of our littlest scholars, and this is only the beginning!

Memphis College Prep is proud to be recognized among the MSCS schools that demonstrated 2026 TCAP growth across every tested area: ELA, math, science, and social studies.

That’s a BIG win for our scholars and our entire MCP community!

The elementary years are about more than preparing for the next test or the next grade. This is where the foundation is laid. It’s where scholars strengthen their skills, discover how they learn, build confidence in the classroom, and develop the habits that will support them throughout their academic journey.

That’s why we continue to invest in the whole learning experience; strong instruction, dedicated educators, meaningful academic experiences, family partnerships, and a school culture that challenges our scholars while giving them the support they need to grow.

Good evening MCP Families,

Due to power outages impacting our school building and the surrounding community, Memphis College Prep will be closed tomorrow, Monday, August 24.

We know how to work hard and have a little fun after a full week of learning!

Our recent i-Ready Pep Rally & Dance gave scholars a chance to celebrate their hard work with learning competitions, plenty of dancing, and even a friendly round of tug-of-war featuring our MCP team.

Events like this help keep our scholars excited, engaged, and motivated to continue giving their best in the classroom.

At MCP, we celebrate the effort and the growth.

Some of our team members are celebrating their very first year at MCP, which others have been part of this community for as many as 15 years. Every year in between tells a story.

A new chapter, a new school year, and a new opportunity to make an impact at MCP. We're excited to see the legacy this year begins.

One year down, and the commitment keeps growing. Thank you for continuing to show up for our scholars and our school community.

Three years of lessons, memories, growth, and meaningful moments with our scholars. The impact is already adding up.

5 years is worth celebrating! Half a decade of learning, growing, and helping create the MCP experience our scholars know and love.
