The State of Ohio and the federal Small Business Administration (SBA) will review damage assessments in Vinton County during the day on October 21.
Residents who are home and wish to speak with the assessment team are welcome to do so. Assessors may have questions for residents who are available. Being home is not required, and the team will not visit every residence where a damage assessment was completed.
This review is one step in determining the extent of the damage and whether it may meet the criteria for a state or federal disaster declaration. The review itself does not guarantee a declaration.
Residents are encouraged to share information about damage to their homes or property if they have the opportunity to speak with an assessor.
