Community notice!!!

Please be advised that the tornado siren that is in McArthur above the Police Department is malfunctioning. This is the siren that has been causing problems as of late.

We are getting it fixed as we speak!!

Don't forget your animals that are outside, they NEED water also!!

If you have any heat related issues please call 911.

Stolen Vehicle.

June 25, 2020 McArthur PD took a report about the listed stolen vehicle. Dark Blue Jeep Wrangler with no doors was taken from Dollar General parking lot. If anyone has information about this vehicle contact Capt. Heaton 740-596-2980 or call your local Law Enforcement if seen outside of McArthur, Ohio.

So we were contacted recently by a parent asking us to stop by and visit with them and the kids. The parent was trying to reassure the kids that there are way more good cops in the world than there are bad.

Had a great time interacting with the kids showing them the cruiser, letting them play with the lights and siren and even meeting K9 Zara.

Update to this event. The decision to cancel was made by the sponsor themselves who were going to pay for the event.

We have been notified that the 4th of July fireworks for this year 2020 have been Canceled.

The PD and Village did not have any say in whether to cancel or not!

We apologize, but unfortunately we are getting mixed responses for the 4th of July fireworks event.
