We have been receiving reports of a scam going around that is being sent via text to cell phones, claiming to be from the "Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles" and asking for a payment to be made. This is a scam and should be ignored and deleted. Again, do not click on any links or reply, just delete the message. Thank you.

1. Viоlation entered intо DMV rеcords
2. Ѕuspenѕion of your vehiclе registration on Јuly 25
3. 30-dаy susрension of driver's lіcense
4. Debt transferred to сollections (+35% charge)

The REAL ID deadline is May 7, 2025. Due to the upcoming deadline, the next two Saturday's (April 26 & May 3), the Vinton County BMV/Title Office will be open until 3:00PM. This is a state-wide notice.

In anticipation of the REAL ID enforcement on May 7, 2025, BMV locations across the state will have extended hours for service until 3 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025 and on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
