R-37: Raymond Road Shoulder Paving Project Update 🚧

Crews are hard at work constructing new paved shoulders and rehabilitating existing pavement on Raymond Road, just north of Cleveland Avenue. This project is being carried out by Juarez Brothers General Engineering.

Once complete, these improvements will help reduce particulate emissions, enhance safety, and improve traffic flow for everyone traveling through the area.

Project Timeline:
Awarded: May 2026
Construction Started: July 2026
Expected Completion: August 2026

COMMUTER ALERT: Road 39-1/2 north of Avenue 12 (between Ave 12 and Bella Vista Dr) will be closed beginning 8/27/26 through 9/16/26 for roadwork related to the adjacent development.
A signed detour will be in place. Commuters who use this route regularly are encouraged to plan accordingly.
Please drive safely!

MADERA COUNTY/OAKHURST - One-way traffic control will be in place along a section of State Route 41, just south of Oakhurst, Tuesday morning. Caltrans crews will be removing dead trees along Deadwood Pass, on the 25th from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm. The #2 lane just north of Cavin Lane will be closed. Please plan accordingly.

🚧 A Major Investment in Madera County’s Future!

The California Transportation Commission has allocated $106.1 million for the South Madera 6-Lane Project on State Route 99, from Avenue 7 to Avenue 12. Construction is anticipated to begin in February 2027.

The project will improve safety, mobility, and freight reliability along one of the San Joaquin Valley’s most critical transportation corridors—supporting residents, businesses, agriculture, and our region’s continued economic growth.

🎉 Madera County has been awarded $5 million in incentive funding!

The California Transportation Commission recognized Madera County’s voter-approved renewal of Measure T with the maximum Local Partnership Program incentive available. This funding will provide additional resources for transportation improvements throughout the county.

Traffic Advisory: Caltrans traffic advisory in place for State Route 41 south of Oakhurst along Deadwood Pass for tree removal next week on Tuesday, August 25th from 8:30 - 3:30. Please expect delays and drive safely.

MADERA COUNTY: A section of State Route 145, near Road 29 in Madera County, is closed because of down power line. The route is closed in both directions. Crews are on the scene. ETO is unknown.

MADERA: A lane and ramp closure is planned for tomorrow morning a portion of State Route 99 in Madera. The northbound #3 lane and the northbound on-ramp at Cleveland Avenue will be closed tomorrow from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm. Electrical crews will be doing work in the area. Please plan accordingly.
