This morning at 8:06 A.M. the Madera City Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a passenger vehicle fire behind the shopping center at 2037 West Cleveland Avenue. Upon arrival firefighters found a sedan with fire involvement in the engine compartment. Crews were able to keep the fire confined to the engine compartment of the vehicle and no injuries were reported.

Yesterday evening around 5:00 pm, City crews responded along with maderacountyfiredept to a report of a residential structure fire in a mobile home park off of West Kennedy Street in the city of Madera. Upon arrival, the fire was determined to be a fully involved trailer with multiple exposures. This also spread to a grass fire that burned 2.5 acres. Crew worked to ensure the safety of all residents and to minimize property loss/damage. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.

This morning around 4 am, Madera City crews along with maderacountyfiredept Engine 1 were dispatched to a reported Commercial Structure Fire at Dirty Bird Laundromat near downtown Madera. Upon arrival, Engine 56 observed fire and heavy smoke coming from the laundromat. The fire was contained promptly with no injuries to personnel or the public. Thank you as always to Madera Police Department for your assistance. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.

On the evening of July 14 around 7:00 pm, Truck 58 along with Engines 56 & 57 and maderacountyfiredept were dispatched to a reported shed on fire with immediate threat to the main residence. Upon arrival, Truck 58 observed a fully involved shed with the corner of the main residence beginning to burn. The fire was contained promptly with minimal damage to the main residence. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Around midnight on Tuesday June 16, Truck 58 & Engine 57 responded along with maderacountyfiredept Engines 1, 3, 7, & 19 to a reported residential structure fire in the city. Upon arrival at scene, Truck 58 determined there was an active fire burning in the attic of the residence. The walls & ceilings of the residence were finished with lath & plaster rather than drywall but crews were able to locate & control the fire promptly before further spread through the home. Thank you as always to Madera Police Department for traffic control.
