This morning, we had the opportunity to recognize Ashley Crawford of Rogers Public Schools among her peers at the Arkansas Transition Services Summit. Since we typically surprise teachers with a drop-in visit to their schools, I’m sure this recognition was an unexpected surprise! We applaud Ms. Crawford for bringing the marketplace to life for her students and creating meaningful opportunities for them to learn by doing. Congratulations, Ms. Crawford!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of surprising one of our Master Economics Teachers, Alundra Dickson, with the Bessie B. Moore Award! Named in honor of our founding director, this award recognizes teachers who demonstrate exemplary teaching in economic education.

Ms. Dickson exemplifies that excellence every day at Central High School Little Rock School District. Her award-winning project, Psychonomy: How Mental Health Shapes (and is Shaped by) Economic Forces, is a wonderful example of the innovative ways educators bring economics to life.

Congratulations, Ms. Dickson! We’re proud to celebrate you and the impact you’re making through economic education!

Our Bessie Brigade is on the move!

Our first stop was Southwest High School Little Rock School District where we surprised Renita Bullard with a $1,000 check and a Bessie of her very own! We were proud to recognize Ms. Bullard for her outstanding work through the Boss UP Shop for Young Entrepreneurs, helping students explore entrepreneurship and bring their business ideas to life.

Ms. Bullard, thank you for your dedication to advancing entrepreneurship education and empowering the next generation of young entrepreneurs. We’re proud to celebrate the difference you’re making in your classroom!
