Tomorrow is Halloween, here are some safety tips you should discuss with your child. Don't forget to stop by at Boro Hall @ the Police Window for candy, our Officers will be out equipped with candy bags to hand out also.
• Be Seen: Wear bright or reflective clothing and carry flashlights or glow sticks to make yourself visible to drivers.
• Use Crosswalks: Always cross at corners and designated crosswalks. Never run into the street or cross between parked vehicles.
• Stay on Sidewalks: Walk, don’t run, and stay on sidewalks and paths whenever possible.
• Travel in Groups: Young children should always be accompanied by a trusted adult. Older children should plan their route, stay together, and check in regularly.
• Stay Alert: Avoid distractions such as cell phones or headphones when crossing streets.
• Check Treats: Parents should inspect all candy before it’s eaten. When in doubt, throw it out.
