It was a busy Holiday Weekend for the Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad. On Thursday July 2nd, the Squad assisted with EMS coverage in Maywood for their Fireworks display. Rescue 7 covered the north area of the display, while Rescue 4 covered the south end. Our Members set up our EMS Rehab area where we set up or cooling fans, a tent, chairs, tables, and oxygen manifold, should the need arise. Rescue 2 & Rescue 5 covered the rehab area with Rescue 3. Rescue 1 covered the borough. During the display we treated 7 minor injures that did not require transport. On Saturday July 4, Rescue 1 assisted Ridgefield Park EMS covering their 4th of July Parade. During the coverage period from 10am-2pm 2 calls were answered, while a Crew covered the Borough. Later that evening, Rescue 1, Rescue 2, Rescue 5, Rescue 7 went back and assisted Ridgefield Park EMS for Fireworks coverage, which were later canceled due to the weather. Finally on Sunday July 5th, Rescue 1 & Rescue 2 assisted NJSEA EMS for coverage during the FIFA Match at NJ/NY Stadium. There were 3 total transports by the Crews standing by at the Stadium. While at the Stadium the Crews covering the Borough handled 3 calls for service during that time period, two of which were within a half hour of each other. As always, we thank our dedicated Members for making sure all these calls and events were covered. πŸš‘πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
