🦖 What a ROAR-some day at the library! 🦕

A huge thank you to East Tennessee Entertainment for bringing an incredible dinosaur experience for the whole family! Guests came face-to-face with a lively raptor and a friendly stegosaurus puppet while learning fascinating facts about these prehistoric creatures.

Families also enjoyed hands-on fossil dig boxes, dinosaur-themed games, and plenty of opportunities to explore the world of dinosaurs up close. It was a dino-mite adventure filled with learning, laughter, and fun for all ages!

Dr. Boyle did an outstanding job bringing local history to life with engaging stories, historical insights, and a clear passion for our community’s past. Those in attendance enjoyed an informative and entertaining evening that deepened their appreciation for the history all around us.

A huge thank you to the Chattanooga Zoo for visiting the library this Tuesday and sharing some amazing animal ambassadors with us! 🐢🐰🪳

Families had the chance to meet a tortoise, a bunny, and even African hissing cockroaches while learning fascinating facts about each animal. It was a wonderful opportunity for kids and adults alike to connect with wildlife up close and discover more about the natural world.

Want to see even more incredible animals? Don't forget that the library offers a Chattanooga Zoo pass that patrons can check out! It's a great way to continue the adventure and explore all the amazing animals the zoo has to offer.

The LaFayette-Walker County Library is excited to welcome three outstanding educators to our Time With Teacher tutoring program!

🍎 Kayla Reaves brings experience teaching students from Pre-K through 12th grade, with a focus on reading, writing, and math.

🍎 Emma Massengale has six years of experience in special education and autism classrooms and is passionate about helping every child succeed.

🍎 David Robertson has over 20 years of teaching experience and specializes in reading, writing, Spanish, and ESL, including teaching internationally in Mexico.

Whether your child needs extra support, help building confidence, or enrichment in a favorite subject, our tutors are here to help!

It was such a special evening getting to connect with the incredible local organizations making a difference in our community. We are so grateful to all the groups who joined us at the library, not just for making the event a success, but for everything you do for our town every single day.
