Chattanooga man sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for malice murder

Nicholas Antonio Cheaton, a 42-year-old Chattanooga man and longtime Chattanooga criminal, was sentenced to serve the remainder of his life in the Georgia Department of Corrections without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 45 years for the murder of William Jones, a 39-year-old man from Chickamauga.

Walker County Man Convicted on Multiple Charges Involving Sexual Abuse of Child Family Members

Walker County, Georgia—On May 19, 2026, a Walker County jury found James Franklin Frazier guilty of four counts of Aggravated Child Molestation, Aggravated So**my, and eighteen counts of Child Molestation following a two-day trial before the Honorable Chief Judge Brian House.

Trenton Man Receives Consecutive Life Sentences for Child Sexual Abuse

May 4, 2026 – Trenton, Georgia – A Trenton man was convicted of sexual offenses perpetrated on a minor victim by a Dade County jury following a three-day trial before Judge Chris Arnt which concluded on April 22, 2026. Randall Dakota Wallin, 36, was convicted of Aggravated Child Molestation, Aggravated Sexual Battery, and two counts of Child Molestation.

Chattooga County, Georgia — On February 22, 2026, a Chattooga County jury found Timmy Glenn guilty of R**e, Aggravated Sexual Battery, two counts of Child Molestation, two counts of Cruelty to Children in the First Degree, two counts of Cruelty to Children in the Second Degree and Simple Battery following a five-day jury trial before the Honorable Judge Melissa Hise.

On February 19, 2026, a Chattooga County jury convicted Ricky Lamar Blackmon of ra**ng andsexually assaulting a minor family member, after a three-day trial before Chief Superior Court Judge Brian House. Blackmon, 46, was convicted on all 7 counts of sexually-based crimes against the child including: R**e, In**st, and Child Molestation.
