Ironton Firefighters Local 532 St. Patrick’s Day Shirt Sale 🍀

This year we have decided to help out a brother of ours that recently retired from the Ashland fire department. Ironton Firefighters Local 532 is selling our St. Patrick’s Day shirts, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to retired Battalion Chief Chris Spears and his wife, Jessica, as she bravely fights breast cancer.

Cancer impacts more than just one person. It impacts a family. It brings emotional and financial challenges that no one should face alone.

When you purchase a shirt, you’re doing more than celebrating St. Patrick’s Day — you’re standing in support, offering strength, and reminding the Spears family that they are not fighting this battle by themselves.

Let’s show them what this community is made of.

Shirts can be ordered at the Ironton Fire Dept and you will be able to pick them up at the Ironton Fire department. We will start taking orders tomorrow March 2nd and stop taking orders Thursday March 5th.

NOW HIRING! The Ironton Fire Department is actively recruiting qualified individuals for Firefighter positions. Candidates who are selected will join a dedicated team committed to protecting the lives and property of Ironton residents.

Compensation & Benefits:

Accepted applicants will receive a starting hourly wage of $18.27, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 24-on/48-off shift schedule, paid training, a quarterly clothing allowance, a sick incentive bonus, premium holiday pay, and generous overall benefits.

Testing Dates
All applicants are required to complete the following:

Physical Agility Test: April 18th
Written Test: April 21st

We would like to congratulate Captain Craig Thomas, today was his final work day at the Ironton fire department. After 36 years of dedicated service he will leave behind a legacy of leadership, commitment and professionalism. Thank you for your service Captain C! Enjoy retirement!

Hurry up and get down to the Ironton Library! This wonderful woman has been bringing treats to the Ironton fire dept for many years and I can honestly say I have never had anything bad from her. I can’t wait to check out the cook book and make some of it myself.

I wanna thank everyone for the amazing turnout for the first annual Ironton chili cookoff yesterday! Most importantly we raised over $2,000 for shop with a cop for the kids this Christmas. How amazing is that? Seth Saunders won the battle of the badges trophy for the Ironton fire department. Kim Schwab won first in the public voting followed by jay zornes in 2nd and Julie Dalton in 3rd. Thank you to everyone that had a hand in this on such a short notice, I felt we did an amazing job. Can’t wait to see what we can do next year!
