Happy Saturday! An update on pools open this weekend, Riverside Park’s pool opening has been delayed. We anticipate that opening soon though. Thatcher’s pool will be closed on Sunday for lifeguard training. Pools are open 11-6 today and 12-6 on Sunday!

Thankfully, the rain has finally gone away, which means more pools are opening! However, the heavy rain earlier in the week still impacted several pools. The good news is that the forecast for this weekend and next weekend looks good, so we anticipate that those remaining pools will open in early June. Please note that Thatcher Park's indoor pool will be closed on Sunday for training. Visit parks.indy.gov/programs/poolsandsplashpads for hours and more information!
*Update: Due to a minor issue, Riverside Park's pool will not be open this weekend. We expect it will open in the coming days.

⚾ Spot On Baseball is bringing elite instruction to Indianapolis this summer!

Join this fun, fundamentals-focused baseball clinic for players ages 10 to 17. Campers will be grouped by age and skill level.

Warmer weather means more progress is being made on park construction projects across the city! That also means we need your help to make these improvements go as fast as possible.

🌱 New grass is growing at select Indy Parks locations, including Dubarry, Chapel Hill, and Garfield Park. Please help us protect these newly seeded areas by staying off the grass while it has time to germinate and establish roots.

A little patience now helps create healthier, greener park spaces for everyone to enjoy later. Thank you for helping us care for our parks. 💚

Join us at Washington Park on May 28th to celebrate Black Birders Week, a movement that centers Black community, joy, liberation, healing, visibility, and the transformative power of nature.

The Family Center will provide crafts, coloring, bird information, and interactive tables during open hours. Bring binoculars or borrow a pair of ours for a self-guided bird walk to explore the wonderful birds that call Washington Park home! Find a community of like-minded outdoor adventurers.

Park staff will host a Sit & Song bird watch from the comfort of one of our park shelters from 6:30 - 8:00pm.

Due to storms in the area, muddy conditions, and lack of cover for equipment we have made the tough choice to cancel tonight‘s concert at Eagle Creek. Please save the date for Tuesday, June 2nd for a free concert at Eagle Creek Beach with A Bright Abyss and come see us at Riverside tomorrow.

🌟 Greetings from Sandorf Park!

Located in the Fountain Square neighborhood, Sandorf Park has much to offer. You’ll find playground equipment, basketball courts, softball diamonds, and tennis courts. 🎾

It’s an Indianapolis tradition to talk about how many times things could fit inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway🏎️🏁. But now that the Indy 500 has passed, we have a new question: how many tracks could fit inside Eagle Creek Park?

Combined, the reservoir and the park are approximately 5,300 acres, so more than nine tracks (560 acres) could fit in Eagle Creek. There’s a reason why Eagle Creek is one of the largest city parks in the nation!
