Indianapolis Fire Dept Rehab Support Unit Emergency response scenes for Indy Fire & Indy Metro Police during S.W.A.T. calls.

The Rehab Unit's main function is to provide Fluids for re-hydration & snacks for the Men and Women of The Indianapolis Fire Department as well as the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department on various Emergency Scenes Such as fire's, Mass Casualty Incident calls Drownings we also assist in missing person(s) incidents, Hazardous Materials calls Also Rehab Support for I.M.P.D. as well as Emer

gency Scenes where Re-hydration is deemed necessary by the Incident Commander. Re-Hydration is very important for Emergency Responders where the Emergency Responders usually perform their Job or tasks in Personal Protective Equipment sometimes equal to the responders weight we are all volunteer staff operating 24 hours a day seven days a week the Fire Buffs come from all walks of life and education backgrounds currently the Indianapolis Fire Buffs roster is made up of roughly 66% of Retired Firefighters & or various levels of First Responders, EMT's (Emergency Medical Technicians) the balance of our staff comes from Office Machine repair Technicians, Healthcare workers Fed Ex And or UPS. Grocery store employee & Office Professionals also Truck drivers, to an Attorney.
