It was an exciting evening attending the unveiling of The Artery, Huntington, an addition to Huntington Village made possible in part through funding from the Suffolk County JumpSmart Grant, in partnership with the Huntington Village Business Improvement District and the 1653 Foundation.

The Artery is an alleyway that was once overlooked and hidden, turned into an outdoor public art space and mural gallery. 🎨

If you’re in Huntington Village, be sure to take a stroll down the alleyway and check it out!

Yesterday, County Executive Ed Romaine, members of the Suffolk County Legislature, and officials from the Suffolk County Police Department held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the department’s new canine headquarters. Built entirely in-house, the facility gives police canines and their handlers a safe, modern space, with climate control, classrooms, veterinary space, and training areas. It’s one of many infrastructure projects supporting our great police department. 👮‍♂️ 🐕
