The calls to my office tell a story I can't ignore.

Suffolk County families are worried about how they're going to afford backpacks and school supplies.

They're feeling the rising cost of gas and food. Small businesses are feeling the pressure, too.

At a time when families are already stretched, an overseas war and tariffs have made an already difficult economy even harder.

This is not the time to make life more expensive. It's time to make life easier.

Suffolk County needs an economic relief agenda - one that looks for ways to cut unnecessary spending, reduce administrative fees and burdens, and put every available dollar to work helping our residents and small businesses.

Yesterday, alongside Minority Leader Jason Richberg and Legislator Greg Doroski, we called on the New York State Attorney General to review the use of nearly $3 million in taxpayer funds connected to litigation challenging New York’s Even-Year Election Law.

At a time when families across our region are feeling the pressure of rising costs and municipalities are facing difficult financial decisions, every taxpayer dollar matters.

Transparency and accountability are not optional, especially when it involves the use of public funds.

This morning, we proudly cut the ribbon on the new Silas Wood Pre-K Center and welcomed Governor Kathy Hochul — the first sitting governor to visit the South Huntington School District in more than 60 years!

Expanding access to Pre-K is a major step forward for our families, giving our youngest learners a strong start while helping ease the financial burden of childcare and early education for working parents.

So proud to celebrate this investment right here in our district and in the future of our children!

⚠️ ROAD CLOSURE ALERT ⚠️

Pulaski Road (CR11) is currently closed just east of Oakwood Road due to a large tree branch that came down early this morning and is blocking the roadway.

Suffolk County DPW crews are on scene and working to safely remove the tree and clear the road. The closure will remain in place until the work is completed. Please avoid the area and use an alternate route if possible.

Thank you to our County DPW team for responding quickly and working to get this safely cleared!

This afternoon, we had an in-depth presentation from the Long Island State Veterans Home- an outstanding place for care for veterans and their spouses who need comprehensive clinical services, nursing care, rehabilitative care or medical day care.
