HAPPY TUESDAY

LEGO Club Build Day is this Thursday, September 3rd, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to work on your LEGO projects for the Discovery Park LEGO competition.

As a reminder, our current theme is "Terror-rific Tales," and all projects are due by 4:30pm on September 21st. Our upcoming October theme will be "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles."

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! It’s the perfect time to visit the Humboldt Public Library and get your own library card—they are completely free for all of Gibson and surrounding counties.🪪🪪🪪

🦋 In lieu of flowers, Dolly Parton’s family has requested that donations be made to Imagination Library. 🦋

While each county’s Imagination Library program is a little different, here in Gibson County, there are several ways you can support our local program. Your donations help us make sure children throughout our county receive books every month! 📚❤️

✔️ Venmo: -Library

✔️ Rhodes Family Diner: When you eat at Rhodes Family Diner, you can make a donation when you check out, and they will match your donation! There is also a collection jar at the register. In addition, all funds raised from Meta through interactions with the Diner’s posts will be donated to Gibson County Imagination Library.

Checks can also be dropped off at Rhodes Family Diner or any of the public libraries in Gibson County.

Dolly’s dream was to put books into the hands of children everywhere. Her father could not read or write, and although Dolly said he was the smartest man she had ever known, she understood that not being able to read made his life harder.
