Cherokee Elementary families, mark your calendars for Popcorn with the Principals on July 16 from 2:00–3:30 p.m.

Join us for an afternoon of popcorn, fun, and the opportunity to meet your principals before the new school year begins. Students may also pick up their class assignments and ACAP results if online enrollment has been completed. Students must be present to pick up class assignments.

We look forward to welcoming our CES families and kicking off another great year together!

ParentSquare brings all school, classroom, and district communication together in one convenient place. Families will be able to receive important updates, announcements, reminders, and emergency notifications through text messages, emails, phone calls, and the ParentSquare app.

The platform also allows for direct communication between families and schools while providing automatic translation features to help ensure every family stays informed and connected.

Our goal is to make communication more streamlined, accessible, and effective for our students, families, faculty, and staff.

Our 5th Grade GATE students just arrived home from a trip to Atlanta to visit iFly, an indoor skydiving experience. During this time, our students experienced a physics demonstration in the wind tunnel and investigated the effects of parachute parameters on flight performance. It’s safe to say they had a BLAST! 💥 Thank you Mrs. Sanders and Mrs. Burton for facilitating this trip! 🪂💨

At last night’s monthly board meeting, Lauren Moore was approved as a new 5th grade teacher at Cherokee Elementary School.

Mrs. Moore brings valuable experience from her background as an instructional coach and a passion for helping students and teachers succeed. We are excited to welcome her to the CES family and look forward to the positive impact she will make in the classroom each day!
