The Guntersville Fire Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jeremiah Gamble following the recovery efforts on Lake Guntersville this week.
On Sunday, May 17, multiple agencies responded to the Honeycomb Creek and Goat Island area of Lake Guntersville after reports that 25-year-old Jeremiah Gamble of Tallassee entered the water from a pontoon boat and did not resurface. Extensive search operations continued over several days involving marine units, aviation support, rescue squads, fire personnel, and law enforcement agencies from across the region. 
We are grateful for the dedication and teamwork displayed by all responding agencies throughout this difficult operation, including the Guntersville Fire & Rescue Dive Team, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Guntersville Rescue Squad, Marshall County EMA, Crane Hill Fire Department, Guntersville PD, Marshall County SO, North Alabama Search Dog Association, Blount County Rescue Squad, Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Marshall County 911, Marshall County Coroner Office, and Mack Mortuary Transport. who assisted in the search and recovery efforts.
