The fire yesterday on Baker Lane was controlled at 290 acres. The Air resources dropped 24,800 gallons of water. The Super Scoopers got the water out of Lake Livingston, the Helicopters dipped out of private ponds. That is all that saved it from getting any bigger. The 12 Brush trucks , the two Tanker and the 4 dozers couldn’t catch it. Thankfully the US Forest Service had the aviation resources available for the Texas Forest Service to use. We do appreciate all of the surrounding voluntary fire department coming in to help with this fire and the Texas A&M Forest Service. The video is from one of the Brush trucks working the head fire and had to pull out because of the intensity of the fire.
