On September 12, 2026 the city will be hosting a trash dumping day at the City of Groveton Maintenance Shop from 7am-12pm or until the dumpsters are full. Residents must bring a water bill proving that you live in the City of Groveton in order to dispose of your trash.

Items that can not be dumped

Tires and anything that holds freon such as ac units, refrigerators, ice machines. If these items are being thrown away then there must be a sticker on the item proving that the freon has been removed by a certified technician.

Attention City of Groveton residents. South Vickery ave. will be closed due to a sewer pipe break. The road will be shut down for approximately 2-4 weeks. Please use caution when traveling in the area.

Russell Drilling will be performing a camera survey on our existing well on Thursday, August 20th. The purpose of the survey is to determine if the well can be remediated, ultimately restoring its production capacity to that of when it was new. This will involve pulling the piping and pump out of the casing, flooding the well with clean water, and then running a camera down into the well for inspection. This process should only take one day. We don’t anticipate any loss of water service during this time.
