IN MEMORY OF JEANNE ALEXANDER
Greenfield Police Department
It is with profound sadness that the Greenfield Police Department mourns the passing of Jeanne Alexander, who lost her courageous battle with lung cancer on September 16, 2026.
Jeanne served the Greenfield Police Department as a dispatcher for the past two years, becoming much more than a valued member of our communications team. She became part of our family.
Before joining the Greenfield Police Department, Jeanne proudly served the Hillsboro Police Department as a patrol officer, dedicating years of her life to protecting and serving the community. Her commitment to public safety never wavered, and she continued that service behind the dispatch console with the same strength, compassion, and dedication.
To those who worked beside Jeanne, she was a trusted coworker, a protector, a friend, and a work bestie who could always be counted on. Her presence brought strength and comfort during difficult calls and difficult days. The bond she shared with her brothers and sisters in law enforcement was something truly special.
Jeanne’s absence will be felt deeply throughout our department. The radio will sound different without her voice, the dispatch center will feel a little quieter, and our work family will never quite be the same.
We are grateful for Jeanne’s service, her friendship, her strength, and the countless lives she touched throughout her career in law enforcement.
Rest easy, Jeanne. Your watch is over.
Your Greenfield Police Department family will carry your memory with us always.
End of Watch

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
