🚧 First Thursday Street Closure Reminder 🚧

Just a friendly reminder that South Washington Street will be closed tomorrow from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM for our First Thursday event!

📍 Closure Area: From the intersection of Jefferson Street by the Village Courthouse to Mirabeau Street.

🚚 Vendor setup begins at 4:00 PM, so all vehicles must be moved from the closure area before 4:00 PM to help ensure a safe and smooth setup.

Event will be open from 6:00pm-9:00pm!

Cooling Shelters Available in Highland County

With dangerously high temperatures expected this week, several locations across Highland County are available as cooling shelters from June 30 – July 2, 2026. These facilities are open to help residents stay safe and cool during the extreme heat.

If you or someone you know does not have access to air conditioning, please take advantage of these locations.

📍 Locations include:
• Highland County Family YMCA
• Hillsboro Public Library
• Greenfield Branch Library
• Leesburg Branch Library
• Lynchburg Branch Library
• Rocky Fork Branch Library

Please review the graphic below for addresses and operating hours. Residents are encouraged to call ahead to confirm hours and availability before visiting.

REMINDER: To ensure the safety of festival-goers, several streets in downtown Greenfield will be closed to vehicle traffic from 3 p.m. today (Thursday, June 4) through Sunday evening, June 7. Detours to North and South Streets will be posted. Affected streets are listed below:

- Jefferson Street (SR 28) from Fifth Street to the middle of the 200 block (at the Post Office).
- Washington Street from South Street to Lafayette Street.
- Fourth Street half a block in either direction from Jefferson Street.

Please use caution and watch for pedestrians. Thank you!
