📏✨Math is better when we can move, measure and explore! 💙

Ms. Salazar’s 2nd grade mathematicians practiced measuring objects in meters using meter sticks! 📏🔎 They worked together to measure, compare lengths, and share what they discovered during our Bluebonnet Math lesson. 🧮💙

🧪✨ Science got a little SLIMY today! ✨🧪

Our 4th grade scientists have been learning about mixtures in HMH Science, so today we took our learning hands-on by making SLIME! 💚🩷💙

Students mixed different materials together, observed how their properties changed, and discussed what happens when substances are combined. There were lots of laughs, messy hands, and some awesome scientific observations along the way! 🔬

🌟 PK Learning in Action! 🌟

Mrs. Haglund’s PK students have been busy learning, creating, and exploring all week!

They’ve been learning about circles, exploring their creativity through building, and one of the favorites, using noodles to learn about different types of lines and create shapes! ⭕️

So much learning happens through play in PK, and these little Pirates are doing an amazing job!

Ms. Almazan’s students are learning about character traits and using evidence from the text to support their thinking. Students are partnering up to discuss chunks of what they’ve read, making sure they understand the text, and helping one another with their writing using sentence stems.

This week is English Week, and they are doing amazing! In these photos, they were working with the character trait “mischievous.” 😊

💙💛 September’s Character Trait: RESPECT! 💛💙
This month, our Burnet Pirates are learning about RESPECT—recognizing the worth of everyone and everything. Families can help by talking about what respect looks like at home, at school, and in our community, and by modeling kindness, listening, and consideration each day. Burnet Pirates Have Character!

🧪 Science in action in Mr. Favela’s class!

Students observed and described what happened when two substances were mixed, then used evidence from their observations to explain how a chemical reaction produced a new gas. Great thinking, questioning, and hands-on learning happening in the classroom! 🔬✨
