I was flying home on Southwest Airlines from upstate New York on my birthday and connected in Baltimore for the final flight to Houston. The flight crew found out it was my 81st birthday... and so before the flight backed away from the gate the stewardess had everybody turn on their call buttons (which turned on small lights in the overhead) then she turned off all the lights in the cabin and told us that the call lights represented candles and there is a man on the flight who is celebrating his 81st birthday. Then the captain (the pilot) led everybody in singing happy birthday to me. It blew me away! What a way to celebrate a birthday🤣

It appears she doesn't hold to any foundational principles other than wanting to remain in office. Her constant changes in positions (perhaps beliefs) are reminiscent of the 1882 opera "The Vicar of Bray" in which The Vicar makes fundamental changes in his principles in order to remain in ecclesiastical office as English monarchs changed back and forth between Catholic and protestant. The politicalization and weaponization of our justice system may help those in power who feel threatened, but I contend doing so is wrong. If our nation is to survive this must stop and stop now. All of us need to stand for truth and equal treatment for all, not graft, favoritism, and corruption.

Went to the Galveston Symphony concert this afternoon… they changed the program, starting with the Ukrainian national anthem and then Substituting Beethoven’s eighth symphony for Dmitti Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 1 (a Russian composer). Great concert and hats off for their choices!
