Empowering and preparing youth for success by providing positive youth development. 4-H creates opportunities for youth to use their skills to influence and impact others by offering targeted youth education programs to address Illinois issues. 4-H is a voluntary, informal education program for young people ages 8-18, as of September 1st of the current 4-H year.
4-H Cloverbuds is a program for younger children who are 5-7 years old.

Our Knox County 4-H Foundation is looking for volunteers to compete in their Annual Alumni Showmanship Contest. You don't have to be from Knox County 4-H or even have been a 4-H member, just a supporter of 4-H who wants to help give back. You must have been out of 4-H for 10 years to compete. Let's see the nominations in the comment section!

We’ll party from 6:00–8:00 p.m. with pizza, games, and line dancing taught by our Federation members.
Come hungry, bring your dancing shoes, and enjoy a fun summer night with 4‑H!

Join the National Association of Extension and 4-H Youth Development Professionals, Animal Science Working Group, to hear from speakers throughout the Animal Science Industry.

Speakers include Dr. Mark Hoge, Associate Professor of Animal Science and Livestock Judging Coach, Western Illinois University, and Mr. Kevin Robinson, Senior Animal Care Specialist, Sea World San Diego.

Meet Erin Welch, our Knox County 4‑H Intern for the summer! Erin is heading into her sophomore year at the University of Illinois, where she studies Food Science. A proud alum of the Walnut Grove Progressors 4‑H Club, she completed projects in cooking, sewing, food preservation, aerospace, and goats. She always enjoyed going to the general show and talking with judges about her projects. One of her favorite memories was heading to the wash rack for a water fight after Ag Olympics.

Erin is eager to begin her internship and looks forward to working with our 4‑H families, with summer workshops, and giving back to the 4‑H community.
