Vanderburgh County Commissioners The County Commissioners are the executive branch of government for Vanderburgh County.

The three commissioners, President Justin Elpers, Vice-President Amy Canterbury, and Member Mike Goebel, live in different districts in the county and are elected countywide. Districts 1 and 3 are elected in Presidential election years, and District 2 is elected in Presidential mid-term election years.

(1) Please be advised that Strueh Hendricks Road will be closed between County Line Road and McDowell Road today, May 13th. This area will be closed from 8:00am to 3:00pm for emergency road repair.

(2) Please be advised that Nisbet Road will be closed between Pruitt Road and Baehl Road today, May 13th. This area will be closed from 8:00am to 3:00pm for pipe installation.

Both roads will be closed to all traffic. Expect equipment and workers in the area, and expect delays. Please avoid this area and plan on taking an alternate route. Should you have any questions please contact Vanderburgh County Highway Department at 812-435-5777.

Please be advised that Martin Station Road will be closed between Boonville New Harmony Road and Baseline Road today, May 11th and tomorrow May 12th. This area will be closed from 8:00am to 4:00pm for paving. This road will be closed to all traffic except local and emergency vehicles. Expect equipment and workers in the area, and expect delays.
