🚒 Congratulations to Boyd Cook, Chelsie Crossley and Mackenzie Lee! 🚒

The Elsie Area Fire Department is proud to recognize Boyd Cook, Chelsie Crossley and Mackenzie Lee on their successful graduation from the Clinton County Fire Academy!

Over the past several months, Boyd, Chelsie and Mackenzie have dedicated countless hours to rigorous training, hands-on experience, and classroom instruction to develop the skills needed to serve and protect our community. Their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to the fire service have led them to this important achievement.

We are excited to welcome them as they begin their firefighting careers with EAFD and look forward to seeing their continued growth and success as members of our department.

Very proud of the newest class of firefighters! Hard work pays off! Congratulations Chelsie, Kenzie and Boyd, you guys deserve this! You’ve worked so hard! We are beyond proud of each one of you!!! Excited to see what the future holds and your continued dedication! 🚒💕

And that’s a wrap! Today, students from the Clinton County Fire Academy completed their State of Michigan Practical Exam to finish off the 6 month long academy.

We had students from the following departments complete their practical exam:

🚒Dallas Township Fire Department
🚒DeWitt Area Firefighters Association
🚒East Lansing Firefighters Local 1609
🚒Elsie Area Fire Department

🚒Ovid Middlebury Fire Dept.
🚒St. Johns Fire Department

The students are now anxiously awaiting the results the state written exam that they took on Wednesday.

We’d like to congratulate our own Firefighter Noah VanKampen and St. Johns Police Department - Michigan Deputy Police Chief Andy Tobias for successfully completing the class and their practical exam today.

Today, on International Firefighters’ Day, the Elsie Area Fire Department proudly recognizes and honors the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting others.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our own firefighters for their commitment, courage, and sacrifice in serving our community each and every day. Your selflessness does not go unnoticed.

Big shout out to all the Department's that came out last night and assisted us on the house fire. Your help is greatly appreciated. Ovid Middlebury Fire Dept., St. Johns Fire, Ashley Fire Rescue, Maple Rapids Fire Department, Marion Township Fire, Perrington Fire, Chesaning-Brady Fire Department, Clinton Area Ambulance Service Authority, Ashley Ladies Auxiliary, Clinton County Sheriff's Department. And anyone else I may have forgotten. It was a long night but with everyone working together we got the job done. Again EAFD appreciates everyone of you guys and gals.
