🐷 Community Homecoming Hog Roast — Friday, September 18!

Ovid-Elsie Area Schools extends a huge thank-you to MMPA for generously sponsoring the full cost of this year’s Community Homecoming Hog Roast!

We also sincerely thank O-E alumnus Chris Luckhurst of Lucky’s Smokehouse for donating his time and services and providing the food at cost. Their generosity and community spirit allow us to continue this special Homecoming tradition.

Please join us at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 18, in the Ovid-Elsie High School cafeteria. We look forward to celebrating Homecoming with our students, alumni, families, and community!

Seniors attended an informational meeting today with BWL (Board of Water & Light) to learn about their 1st STEP program which offers seniors the opportunity for a paid Work-Based Learning position during semester 2 of their senior year ($15/hr) that would also include scholarship money for their future education or possible job opportunities with them after graduation. Attached you will find all of the information they were given this morning.

This opportunity would be put into their school schedule (3hrs) during semester 2 if they are accepted into the program and could be done in conjunction with other work-based learning or CCRESA programs they are already in (as long as they have fulfilled all necessary graduation requirements).

An Open House is being held tomorrow evening for interested students/parents looking to check out their facilities and ask questions.
