During Henry Bellmon's 1962 campaign for governor, his wife, Shirley, designed red, white and blue stripped dresses for his women campaigners across Oklahoma, including Edmond. The "Bellmon's Belles" also had coordinating hats and purses. Note the bell-shaped pocket on the dress.

Legend has it that the Headless Horseman will appear in Stephenson Park on Nov 7th, 1-4pm! Visit scenes from the famous story, as portrayed by actors, musicians and dancers--and learn Edmond's tie to the author, Washington Irving.

"100 Years of Neon Lights" Route 66 Gala was amazing fun--and the perfect musical celebration for the folks who have worked so hard to make Oklahoma's Route 66 Centennial special. Congrats to our Arcadia friends for their award nominations: Andrea Moon, Jim Ross, Shellee Graham and Ed Gochenour. Also, a photo of Lt. Gov Pinnell's in the 1920s firetruck at Edmond History Museum's was featured in the show.
