🇺🇸 Hey Denver Veterans! 🇺🇸
We still have 10 spots left for our Veteran Therapeutic Leather Workshop on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. at Avalanche Harley-Davidson in Golden. For the second year in a row, Red Beard Leather is traveling from California to teach Denver Veterans the art of leatherwork. This year, eligible participants will craft their very own leather belt.

⭐ Saturday bonus: Stick around after the workshop! Vendors and entertainment kick off at 4 p.m., and you can cheer on fellow Veterans during the biker games. Fun for the whole family!

📣 Eligibility required and spots are limited! To see if you qualify and to register, call our Veteran Services team at 720‑944‑3500.

Kudos! Putting Child Support Clients First 💚 In recognition of Child Support Awareness Month in August, our Child Support Services team created and hosted its own conference. The goal: to help deepen their focus on the voices of people and families they serve. In one session, our staff listened to testimonials from three Child Support clients who shared about the ways Child Support Services team members have changed their lives. They also heard about ways they can better improve their service with future clients. The conference also helped other DHS team members in economic security programs learn how to build better rapport and deeper trust with all DHS customers.

Our community showed up in a big way! 👏🎒 The 2026 School Supply Drive surpassed our goal and made a huge impact for Denver students. Thanks to your generosity, we distributed 1,122 backpacks, provided 2,397 supplies, and raised $3,075 in donations.

A huge shout‑out to the DEN Procurement Team, who assembled 800 backpacks — amazing!👏

These backpacks and supplies help students start the school year prepared, confident, and supported. Thank you for making a difference!
