New Episode Alert! The latest episode of Cataloging the Culture is here! In Episode 13, Dr. Karlos L. Marshall sits down with Tony McCleskey, Senior Patron Services Assistant at the Dayton Metro Library.

They explore Tony's journey from a young library patron at the Electra C. Doren Branch to a dedicated library professional serving the Dayton community. Tony reflects on beginning his Dayton Metro Library career as a Library Aide at age 16, his transition to the Main Library's circulation department, and the meaningful connections he has built through serving patrons. He also shares his experience as co-chair of DML's Black Heritage Committee, helping lead Juneteenth programs that celebrate culture, history, and community.

Take some time for yourself with this beginner-friendly yoga class led by instructor Angela Cross. Through a series of gentle poses, you'll learn techniques to calm your mind, improve flexibility, and energize your body. No previous yoga experience is required. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver before taking part, with paper copies available on the day of the program. THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for an inspiring evening with Chairman Dr. Fred Hampton Jr., in conversation with Faheem Curtis-Khidr, as we concluded our 2026 Social Justice Speaker Series.

We were honored to welcome a large and engaged crowd for this meaningful conversation. Chairman Dr. Fred Hampton Jr. shared powerful reflections on his work in the human and civil rights movement while carrying forward the legacy of his father. His unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and community empowerment inspired meaningful discussion and challenged us all to continue standing up for what is right and just.
