Troop 224 Local Boy Scout Troop, located in Chickamauga, Ga., Cherokee Area Council, River District. To help other people at all times. How do we do this?

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath (or Promise) and the Scout Law. SCOUT OATH
On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law. To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight. SCOUT LAW
A Scout

is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent. Troop 224 is thoroughly committed to the mission of the Boy Scouts of America. Our Scouting program is dedicated to passing on the values of Scouting that each of us hold so dear. The answer is simple, really. We offer the boys of our troop an exciting, challenging, and diverse program of activities in a very nurturing and supportive atmosphere. While the boys are engaged in all aspects of Troop 224’s program, they are always made aware of the values of Scouting and how it applies to each of the situations in which they are involved in hopes that throughout their lives they will remember and apply these values. Troop 224 cares for each individual boy. Each of the adults is extremely dedicated to helping youth grow and develop into responsible young men who recognize their duty to God, their duty to others, and their duty to themselves. Scouts and parents, we have a place for you in Troop 224 and will do our utmost to provide you the best that Scouting has to offer! In Service,

Downtown YMCA.
Cost is $5.
Arrive between 6:30-6:45pm
Everyone will need to sign a waiver
Bring towel, swimsuit, goggles
Locker room available to change
Should be done by 8:00pm

Troop 224 held their Spring Court of Honor tonight, with Zack acting as Emcee. We recognized two Rank advancements and awarded 18 Merit Badges. Scouts and families enjoyed fellowship, pizza and cake afterwards.
