As a small business owner myself, I understand firsthand the challenges that come with running a business in today’s world. From rising costs to navigating regulations, I know how hard small business owners work to keep their doors open, support their employees, and serve their communities.

Arkansas needs leaders who understand the realities of running a business and will fight for policies that allow small businesses to grow and thrive. I’ll continue advocating for an environment where small businesses can succeed and entrepreneurs have the opportunity to grow.

Back-to-school season means more students on the road and in school drop-off zones. 🚸

A few simple reminders to help keep our students safe:

• Slow down and stay alert.
• Stay in the designated drop-off lane and pull all the way forward.
• Never stop in a crosswalk.
• Watch for crossing guards and pedestrians.
• Always have students exit on the sidewalk side.
• Never pass another vehicle in the drop-off line.

🚌 Drop-off zones are designed to get students out of vehicles safely. Let’s all do our part to protect Arkansas students!

What should you do if you’re pulled over by Arkansas State Police during a medical emergency? 🚔

If you need emergency assistance while driving, call 911 and provide your vehicle description, location, expected route, and destination.

If you’re stopped:

• Remain calm and explain the situation.
• Turn off your radio and engine, and roll down your windows.
• Keep your hands visible on the steering wheel.
• Stay in your vehicle unless instructed otherwise.

An officer may provide first aid, call an ambulance, or es**rt you to the nearest hospital.

Knowing what to do can help keep you, other motorists, and our law enforcement officers safe.

From managing 14.5 million acres of diverse farmland to working long days in unpredictable elements, our producers carry an immense responsibility. This National Farmers Day, we pause to honor the heavy lifting, resilience, and quiet dedication of Arkansas’ agricultural community.

Earlier this week, I joined the Western Arkansas Mountain Frontier Chapter of the Arkansas Hospitality Association for their monthly meeting.

I shared a legislative update on tourism and hospitality and a look ahead into the 96th General Assembly. Grateful for the opportunity to connect with hospitality leaders across the region!

It was a joy to attend the Annual Meeting of the Lonoke County Farm Bureau last night and present an Arkansas House of Representatives citation to the 2026 Lonoke County Farm Family of the Year — The Tim & Leslie Odom family (Holland Bottom Farms).

We are very grateful for their investment in our community and county and for the tremendous success of this third-generation farm family.

It was great to welcome aspiring policy advisors from across the country to Little Rock this weekend from Reformers Academy.

The fellowship brought together more than 125 professionals to share ideas, discuss issues impacting Arkansas, and learn from one another. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of these important conversations and connect with those working to make a difference through public policy.

In Arkansas, 1 in every 11 jobs is tied to trucking industry.

From delivering the food in our grocery stores, medicine at our pharmacies, supplies to our farms and ranchers, and so much more, our communities rely on truck drivers to support our communities. Truck drivers play a vital role in our state every day.
