Almost Home is once again partnering with the Knights of Columbus and St. Augustine's Food Pantry to provide 400 Thanksgiving meal baskets to local families in need!

Here's how you can help:

🧡 Give $30 today to provide one complete meal basket.

🦃 Donate a $25 King Soopers gift card to help a family purchase a turkey.

🥫 Donate non-perishable food items, including boxed potatoes, stuffing, mac & cheese, gravy, canned vegetables, canned fruit, cranberry sauce, and desserts.

🗳️ November 3rd is just around the corner!

Broomfield voters will see Ballot Measure 1A on the last page of their ballots this election season.

The measure proposes increasing Broomfield's hotel and motel lodging tax from 1.6% to 6%-its first increase since 1997. The proposed rate would remain lower than those in many surrounding communities.

🏡 What could this mean for housing in Broomfield?

If approved, Measure 1A is projected to generate approximately $3.3 million annually to support housing opportunities for local workers, older adults, families, and people with disabilities.

The funding would come from taxes paid by hotel and motel guests, without increasing property taxes or general sales taxes.

💜 Know Your Rights: Housing Protections for Domestic Violence Survivors

More than a year after Colorado's HB25-1168 went into effect, Almost Home continues to advocate for safe and stable housing for survivors of domestic violence. We were proud to sponsor this legislation, which strengthens housing protections for survivors.

We encourage both landlords and tenants to familiarize themselves with the law and better understand their rights and responsibilities. Knowledge is an important step toward ensuring survivors have access to safe, stable housing.
