📢🚨 ATTENTION JACKSON COUNTY! WEATHER SIREN TESTING SCHEDULE CHANGE! 🚨📢
Jackson County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is making a change to our monthly outdoor warning siren testing schedule!
Effective November 2026, outdoor warning sirens will be tested on the SECOND MONDAY of each month at 4:00 PM.
NEW TESTING SCHEDULE:
📆 Second Monday of Every Month
🕓 4:00 PM
📍 Throughout Jackson County
First Test Under the New Schedule: Monday, November 9, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
These routine tests help us verify that our outdoor warning sirens are functioning properly and ready to alert the public when severe weather threatens our community.
⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDER: Outdoor warning sirens are designed to alert people who are OUTDOORS. They are not intended to be heard inside homes or buildings and should NEVER be your only method of receiving severe weather warnings.
We encourage everyone to have multiple ways to receive weather alerts, including NOAA Weather Radios, Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), and trusted weather apps.
Please help us spread the word! Share this post with your friends, family, and neighbors so everyone is aware of the new testing schedule.
