Ready to do some spring cleaning? Keep Barrow Beautiful is once again participating in the Great American Cleanup -- a chance to recycle a variety of goods just by swinging by Victor Lord Park from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 30!
Accepted items include:
✅ Scrap metal and metal objects
✅ Documents for shredding
✅ Electronics and flat panel TVs (no CRTs!)
✅ Appliances (non-freon)
✅ Eyeglasses
✅ Mattresses and box springs
✅ Bulky household items/furniture
✅ Standard tires (limit 8 per vehicle, restrictions apply)
✅ Car batteries
Items that are NOT allowed:
❌ Household garbage
❌ Construction materials
❌ Motor oil
❌ Paint (all types)
❌ Pressurized containers
❌ Flammable, explosive, toxic or corrosive materials
