We know many of our BES families like to take advantage of back-to-school sales throughout the summer, so we're sharing our 2026-2027 School Supply Lists a little early.

This morning, Blackshear Elementary held a special luau-themed faculty meeting filled with celebration, appreciation, and recognition.

We honored four incredible retirees as they begin an exciting new chapter: 3rd grade teachers Tammy Jeffords and Debby Lanier, special education teacher Nancy Smith, and student support provider Alicia Sweat. Their years of dedication, compassion, and service have made a lasting impact on our students, staff, and school community.

We also proudly recognized 4th grade teacher Lauren Klein as our Teacher of the Year and Donna Carter as our Paraprofessional of the Year. Both ladies are so deserving of these honors and make a difference each and every day through their hard work, care, and commitment to our students.

From leis and tropical décor to laughter and heartfelt moments, the morning was a wonderful celebration of the people who help make BES such a special place. Congratulations to all of our honorees!

As another amazing school year comes to a close, we want to wish all of our students and families a fun, safe, and relaxing summer! ☀️🌴

Thank you for a wonderful year filled with learning, laughter, growth, and memories. We are so proud of all our students and the hard work they have shown throughout the year.

A special farewell to our fifth graders as they head off to middle school! We are proud of all you have accomplished during your time at BES, and we know you will continue to do great things. You will always be an important part of our school family, and we will miss you so much! ❤️
