Liberal Austin Democrats Endorsements Update

After reviewing our recent endorsement votes, we have a few updates to share.

We learned that Milah Flores has suspended her campaign in CD‑17, and that information wasn’t known prior to ballots being sent. Because of that, we are canceling the CD‑17 vote. Under our rules for unopposed candidates, Casey Shepard for Congress is now considered endorsed in that race.

In the Texas Attorney General race, no candidate reached our 60% threshold.
• Joe Jaworski – 54.44%
• Nathan Johnson for Texas Attorney General – 45.56%
No endorsement was made.

In Texas House District 49, members voted:
• Montserrat Garibay for HD 49 – 34%
• Kathie Tovo – 66%
With a clear majority, we endorse Kathie Tovo for State Representative!
