Texas is at a pivotal moment. Just last year, we witnessed the far-right push through their extremist agenda at all levels of government, attacking our democracy, institutions, communities, and our values. But we are seeing the momentum of resistance growing!

Now is the time to go all-in on building long-term, durable power to win back Texas.

To harness this momentum, TFN is launching our Throwdown Fund. This critical initiative’s goal is to raise $500,000 in vital resources by November 3 to organize, mobilize, and empower Texans who are ready to fight for strong public schools, push back against white Christian Nationalism, and reclaim democracy.

But we’re not doing this alone. The Jacob and Terese Hershey Foundation is going all in with us. They have issued a challenge! If TFN raises at least $250,000, they will match it with their own $250,000 to push us over the finish line!

We’re not sitting on the sidelines. The Throwdown Fund channels energy into action.

Make your gift to the Throwdown Fund today!

On May 20, we gathered with our Houston community to celebrate our movement, honor local leaders, and fuel the work ahead.

At our Houston Members’ Reception, we had the immense privilege of honoring two extraordinary advocates defending our communities and shaping Texas policy:

Ian Haddock (TFN Power in Action Award) for his vital work centering, uplifting, and creating spaces for Q***r People of Color.

Hayden Cohen (TFN Emerging Power Builder Award) for empowering the next generation to speak truth to power, combat censorship, and advocate for marginalized youth.

From defending public education to protecting the separation of church and state, we are deeply grateful to everyone who stands alongside TFN.

Thank you to our sponsors, honorees, speakers, MCs, and everyone else who made this event possible. And thank you to every single guest who joined us, showed support, brought friends, shared conversations, and continues to stand alongside TFN in this fight for Texas’ future.

Check out the scenes from the night!

Texans have said enough is enough.

In the May 2026 school board elections, communities across the state officially rejected extreme policies, book bans, and the outside dark money invading our classrooms.

From Grapevine-Colleyville to Lake Travis and Mansfield ISD, public education won.

The fight to protect our kids doesn’t stop here.
