Violence erupting in the Capitol seems to be helping people relocate their consciences. It's long past due that Guiliani's estranged relationship with the truth brings about consequences, but better late than never.

The bar association said it received "hundreds of complaints in recent months" about Giuliani, ultimately deciding Monday to launch a "historic" inquiry into the president's attorney.

Censure is little more than political theater, and not even especially entertaining theater at that. Ted Cruz didn't start the disinformation frenzy or the incitement of violence. But when he saw opportunity, Cruz jumped on board hoping to capitalize on it.

The last time the Senate expelled senators was in 1862. Fourteen senators were expelled for supporting the confederate rebellion. Now is not the time for half measures. Now is the time for us to remember our history and act accordingly in the face of those who would undermine our country.

Sens. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) are facing a possible vote on a censure resolution in the Senate as Democrats and some Republicans blame them for the mob that attacked the Capitol last week.

Not only was there no violence, there was no energy on stage. Trump looked bored, distracted, and utterly uninterested in being there. Like most Trump endeavors, it seems to be ending with a sad, sad whimper.

Some officials outright pushed for Donald Trump to not visit for fear that it will incite more violence and could result in further coronavirus outbreaks.
