First grade went to the Animal Safari Park. Students rode through the park and were able to interact with the animals by feeding and petting them. Then, we walked through another section where students observed several different types of animals. Students were able to get close enough to the giraffes to hand-feed them. We also went into an enclosure where students fed birds and even had the birds land on them.

Kindergarten incubated, hatched, and raised chickens. The chicks are getting used to the students and the students to them. The chicks are also getting to explore the grass and enjoy the great outdoors. This has been such a fun and engaging experience for our kindergarten friends. We have learned about the life cycle, what they eat, how fast they grow, and how they socialize with each other and us humans as well! We have created a habitat area for them now while they are small and plan to expand that as they grow.

A huge Thank you to Sheriff Jay Jones for funding the Too Good program for us and your participation in the ceremony.
5th Grade had their "Too Good" Graduation. Thank you to the Sheriff's Department for providing this program.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama conducts the "Too Good for Drugs & Violence" program, a prevention education initiative for 5th-grade students focused on building healthy habits, resisting peer pressure, and setting goals.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing PTO for providing one final round of Teacher Appreciation treats for our staff! Your kindness, generosity, and continued support mean so much to our teachers and staff at Loachapoka Elementary School.
