34 Rice Farmers in Bunawan Receive Soil-Test-Based Fertilizer Recommendations

BUNAWAN, AGUSAN DEL SUR โ€” Thirty-four rice farmers from Barangays Libertad and Mambalili, Bunawan, received soil-test-based fertilizer recommendations and a briefing as part of ongoing efforts to promote soil health and sustainable farming in Agusan del Sur. The activity provided farmers with practical guidance on applying the right nutrients at the right rate, time, and method based on their soil test results.

This is expected to improve nutrient-use efficiency, enhance crop productivity, and reduce unnecessary fertilizer use. The activity was conducted through the collaborative efforts of the Provincial Research Development and Innovation Office (PRDIO), Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO), Upland Sustainable Agri-Forestry Development (USAD), and the Municipal Local Government of Bunawan through the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO).
