: PGAS Finalizes 2026–2028 Unified Development Agenda Targets and Project Logframes

Chiefs of Offices of the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur (PGAS) attended the Presentation of the Final 2026–2028 Unified Development Agenda Targets and Project Logframes on June 4, 2026, at Convention B, Provincial Learning Center, Gov. D.O. Plaza Government Center, Prosperidad. The activity aimed to consolidate cluster commitments, align departmental outputs with the strategic directions of the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur, and secure the final concurrence of all department heads.

The finalized targets will serve as the official commitments of the respective clusters and departments and will be utilized as the results matrix for annual performance assessments and the final end-of-term evaluation in 2028, reinforcing PGAS’ commitment to strategic, results-based, and accountable governance.

| Organizing Records, Strengthening Accountability

The Monitoring and Evaluation Division of the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) and the Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBME) Unit of the Provincial Governor’s Office convened on June 3, 2026, at the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator.

The meeting centered on the proper filing, organization, and safekeeping of Means of Verification (MOVs) for activities undertaken by the Provincial Project Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (PPMEC).

The Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) conducted an office meeting on June 2, 2026, attended by personnel from its five divisions. During the meeting, each division presented its accomplishments, highlighting completed activities, key outputs, and progress on ongoing programs and projects.

The activity served as a venue to monitor performance, strengthen coordination among divisions, and discuss plans moving forward. Through regular meetings, the PPDO continues to promote collaboration and ensure the effective implementation of its mandates in support of the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur's development goals.

The Provincial Project Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (PPMEC) successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Field Monitoring Activity on May 14, 2026, which included the inspection and site visits of various infrastructure projects in support of the upcoming Palarong Pambansa 2026 located within the Gov. D.O. Plaza Government Center.

The activity was led by PPMEC Chairperson Arleen Ann R. Sanchez of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Agusan del Sur, together with Committee members from the C/MLGUs and the Provincial Monitoring and Evaluation Group (PMEG), which serves as the technical arm of the PPMEC spearheaded by the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator from the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) as Team Leader, with the assistance of the representative of the Provincial Engineer from the Provincial Engineering Office as Assistant Team Leader.

The activity was likewise actively participated in by the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) focal persons from the PGAS department offices and M&E representatives from partner Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

During the inspection, the monitoring team carefully assessed the ongoing infrastructure developments to ensure that the facilities are on track for completion and will be ready, convenient, and safe for athletes, delegates, and visitors during the upcoming Palarong Pambansa 2026.

The Comprehensive Development Plan–Technical Assessment Committee (CDP-TAC) convened on April 28, 2026 at Convention B, Provincial Learning Center, GDOP Government Center, Patin-ay, Prosperidad.

During the meeting, Ms. Elva Therese Velmonte of the Department of the Interior and Local Government–Agusan del Sur (DILG-ADS) presented the updated guidelines on the assessment of Comprehensive Development Plans (CDPs) of component and municipal local government units (C/MLGUs) pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 2021-037.

The committee also conducted a review of the CDPs of the city and all municipal LGUs across the province, reinforcing efforts to ensure alignment with planning standards and promote effective and responsive local governance.

The Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) of Agusan del Sur convened a coordination meeting on April 27, 2026 with SHIELD- Project Development Group representatives to present key insights gathered from the recently concluded SHIELD Technical Writeshop on Developing Resilience Investment Proposals and to consolidate necessary data for the enhancement of the project proposal.

This initiative highlights the province’s continued commitment to advancing disaster risk reduction and climate resilience through collaboration, informed planning, and collective effort.
