ARE YOU A NATURALIZED U.S. CITIZEN WITH A CHILD BORN OUT OF WEDLOCK?

Are you wondering if your child may qualify for U.S. citizenship through a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA)?

Before starting your application, it’s important to understand one critical detail:

⚠️ A CRBA is generally for children who acquired U.S. citizenship at birth. Becoming a U.S. citizen through naturalization after your child was born does not automatically make your child eligible for a CRBA.

However, depending on your child’s age, immigration status, and your family circumstances, there may be other pathways to U.S. citizenship.

https://ph.usembassy.gov/eligibility-to-transmit-us-citizenship/

At Your Visa Guy, we can help you understand your options, including:

✅ Reviewing your family’s specific circumstances
✅ Understanding the requirements for a child born out of wedlock
✅ Identifying possible citizenship or immigration pathways
✅ Preparing for the next steps in your child’s immigration journey

💙 Your child’s future matters. Let’s explore the right path together!

I MARRIED MY FILIPINA PARTNER OUTSIDE PHILIPPIES. WE ARE SAME S*X MARRIAGE. CAN I HAVE MY INTERVIEW AT THE LOCAL US EMBASSY IN MANILA?

Yes, generally, you can have your CR-1/IR-1 spousal visa interview at the U.S. Embassy in Manila, even if you and your Filipina spouse entered into your same-sex marriage outside the Philippines.

The key issues are not that your marriage is same-sex or that you married in another country. What matters is whether your marriage is legally valid for U.S. immigration purposes and whether Manila is the appropriate location for processing your spouse's immigrant visa case.

There are a few important details to understand before proceeding.

What you need to know
- Same-sex marriage: The U.S. Department of State confirms that qualifying same-sex spouses receive the same immigration benefits as opposite-sex spouses.

- Marriage outside the Philippines: Your marriage may qualify if it is legally valid under the applicable law. The fact that the marriage took place abroad does not, by itself, prevent you from petitioning for your spouse.

- Interview in Manila: Under the current Department of State policy, immigrant visa applicants are generally scheduled in their country of residence or, if requested, their country of nationality. If your wife is a Filipino national, she can request processing in the Philippines, subject to NVC procedures.

Your love is real. Your marriage matters. Your future together is worth preparing for.

🚨 FRONT-LOADING YOUR I-129F: THE PACKET STRATEGY THAT CAN HELP REDUCE USCIS QUESTIONS! 🇺🇸❤️🇵🇭

Planning to bring your Filipina fiancée to the United States on a K-1 fiancé(e) visa?

Your petition is only as strong as the evidence you submit.

One common mistake petitioners make is submitting the bare minimum and assuming they can provide everything else later if USCIS asks.

A smarter approach? Front-load your I-129F petition!

✅ 1. Get Your Forms Right
Make sure Form I-129F is complete, consistent, and properly signed.

✅ 2. Build a Clear Relationship Story
Organize relevant evidence of your genuine relationship, including photographs, travel records, communication history, and other supporting documents.

✅ 3. Address Potential Red Flags
If your case involves previous marriages, name discrepancies, unusual circumstances, or other potential concerns, ensure required information and supporting evidence are properly addressed.

✅ 4. Follow the Filing Instructions
Include the required documents and appropriate supporting evidence. More paperwork is not always better.

✅ 5. Review Before You File
Check that your forms, dates, answers, and supporting documents tell a consistent story. Catching problems before filing can help you avoid preventable delays.

💡 WHY DOES THIS MATTER?

A well-prepared petition can help USCIS understand your case more clearly and may reduce the need for certain follow-up requests. However, no packet strategy can guarantee fewer questions, prevent a Request for Evidence (RFE), or guarantee approval.

❤️ LET YOUR LOVE STORY BE SUPPORTED BY A WELL-PREPARED PETITION.

At Your Visa Guy, we don't leave your petition to guesswork, random Facebook advice, or last-minute corrections.

🇺🇸 YOUR FILIPINA FIANCÉE OR WIFE JUST GOT DENIED A U.S. VISA… NOW WHAT?

If you're a U.S. citizen in love with a Filipina, a visa denial can feel like your plans for your future together just came crashing down.

But DON'T PANIC. A denial does not automatically mean your relationship or your immigration journey is over. ❤️🇺🇸🇵🇭

Here are 3 options you need to understand BEFORE deciding what to do next:

1️⃣ REAPPLY — BUT DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE

If she was refused under INA 214(b), she may be able to apply again.

But simply submitting the same application and hoping for a different result isn't a strategy.

You need to understand WHY the consular officer was not convinced and determine whether there are meaningful changes or additional information that can strengthen the next application.

2️⃣ IF IT'S 221(g), FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS

A 221(g) refusal can mean the case requires additional documents, information, or administrative processing.

Don't assume that 221(g) means the case is permanently denied.

Read the refusal instructions carefully and respond exactly as requested.

3️⃣ DETERMINE WHETHER A WAIVER MAY BE AVAILABLE

Some visa ineligibilities may be overcome through a waiver.

But this is extremely important:

NOT EVERY VISA DENIAL CAN BE WAIVED.

For example, a standard 214(b) refusal does not have a waiver.

That's why identifying the exact legal basis for the refusal is critical before deciding your next move.

❤️ TO THE U.S. CITIZEN MEN WHO ARE SERIOUS ABOUT THEIR FILIPINA PARTNER:

Don't let one interview—or one refusal—make you believe your future together is over.

Instead, ask:

What exactly went wrong?
What section of law was cited?
Was something missing from the application?
Did the officer misunderstand something?
Has anything materially changed since the previous application?

Your next step should be based on the reason for the refusal—not emotion, frustration, or guesswork.

🇺🇸❤️🇵🇭 LOVE MAY BRING TWO PEOPLE TOGETHER. BUT A SUCCESSFUL VISA CASE REQUIRES PREPARATION.

📩 If you're a U.S. citizen with a Filipina fiancée or wife and her visa was recently denied, don't immediately give up. Understand the refusal first, then determine the appropriate next step.

🚨 3 COMMON ROADBLOCKS U.S. CITIZENS FACE IN THE VISA PETITION PROCESS

#1 — Wrong or Incomplete Paperwork
One missing document, incorrect answer, or overlooked requirement can cause delays and unnecessary headaches.

#2 — Not Knowing WHAT COMES NEXT
USCIS approval is not the finish line. NVC, embassy processing, forms, fees, medical, and interview preparation still lie ahead.

#3 — Relying on Facebook Groups & Guesswork
Every case is different. What worked for someone else may NOT apply to your petition.

👉 This is where Your Visa Guy can help.
We help U.S. citizens navigate the petition process, prepare paperwork, identify supporting documents, understand the next steps, and prepare for the embassy process.

Your petition. Your responsibility. Your loved one.
Don't leave it to guesswork.

🚨 A VISA CHECKLIST IS NOT A VISA STRATEGY.

Just because she found a checklist online doesn’t mean she’s ready to handle YOUR petition.

And frankly? Your family’s future deserves better than DIY immigration.

You’re not ordering something from Amazon.
You’re not filling out a tax form.
And you’re certainly not hiring the internet to protect a petition that could determine when your family gets to be together.

The forms may look simple, BUT your case isn’t.

The strongest petition isn’t the one with the most paperwork. It’s the one where the paperwork, evidence, timeline, and story actually make sense together.

Because when you’re petitioning for the person you love, “I found it on Google” is not a strategy.

Precision is. Preparation is. Strategy is.

🚨 BRUTAL TRUTH FOR U.S. CITIZEN PETITIONERS 🚨

“But my fiancée said it was okay.”

That sentence can get expensive.

You found a Facebook group.
Someone gave you an answer.
Your fiancée talked to her friends.
Someone said, “We did ours ourselves. No problem.”

So you figured:

“Why pay someone? We can do it ourselves.” Fair enough.

But here's the part many U.S. citizens forget:

YOU ARE THE PETITIONER.

Not Facebook.
Not the group administrator.
Not your fiancée's friend who went through the process three years ago.

YOU.

Your petition involves YOUR information.
Your immigration history.
Your financial responsibility.
Your relationship.
Your supporting evidence.
Your answers.

And when USCIS or the Embassy asks questions about your petition, you can't respond:

“But my fiancée said it was okay.” That isn't a defense.

🔥 A Facebook group is a place to exchange experiences. It is NOT a substitute for case-specific professional assistance.

Every relationship is different.
Every history is different.
Every petition is different.

Your friend's successful case does not automatically make your case correct.

You can absolutely choose to do it yourself.

But if you do—

KNOW WHAT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR.

Because when you're dealing with the person you love and your future together in the United States…

“I thought somebody else knew what they were doing” isn't a strategy.

YOU ARE THE PETITIONER.
TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR PETITION.

And if you want someone experienced to help you understand what you're filing and why, Your Visa Guy is here.
