Mahigpit na sinusubaybayan ng United Arab Emirates ang anunsyo ng Pangulo ng Estados Unidos na si Donald Trump hinggil sa dalawang linggong tigil-putukan sa pagitan ng Estados Unidos at Iran, at naghahangad ng karagdagang paglilinaw sa mga probisyon ng kasunduan upang matiyak ang buong pagsunod ng Iran sa agarang pagtigil ng lahat ng labanan sa rehiyon at ang ganap at walang kondisyong muling pagbubukas ng Strait of Hormuz.

Sa isang pahayag, binigyang-diin ng Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) na ang mga hindi pinukaw na pag-atake ng Iran na tumarget sa imprastraktura, mga pasilidad ng enerhiya, at mga sibilyang lugar sa nakalipas na 40 araw—kabilang ang 2,819 na ballistic at cruise missiles pati na rin ang mga drone—at ang nagresultang pagkawala ng buhay at pinsala sa ari-arian ay nangangailangan ng matibay na paninindigan, kabilang ang pagtiyak na mananagot ang Iran at ganap na sasagot sa mga pinsala at bayad-pinsala.

Binigyang-diin ng Ministri ang pangangailangan para sa isang komprehensibo at pangmatagalang pamamaraan na tutugon sa buong saklaw ng mga banta mula sa Iran, kabilang ang kakayahang nuklear, mga ballistic missile, mga drone, kakayahang militar, at mga kaalyadong proxy at grupong terorista, habang tinatapos ang mga banta sa kalayaan sa paglalayag, pati na rin ang ekonomikong digmaan at pandarambong sa Strait of Hormuz. Ipinahayag din ng Ministri ang pag-asa na makakamit ang napapanatiling kapayapaan para sa lahat ng bansa sa rehiyon.

Muling pinagtibay ng UAE na hindi ito kabilang sa digmaang ito at nagsagawa ito ng masinsinang diplomatikong pagsisikap upang maiwasan ang pagsiklab nito, kabilang sa pamamagitan ng bilateral na ugnayan at mga inisyatiba sa loob ng Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Bukod dito, binigyang-diin ng UAE na matatag nitong napangalagaan ang soberanya, seguridad, at pambansang tagumpay nito, at iginiit ang pangangailangan para sa ganap na pagsunod ng Iran sa United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026), na pinagtibay noong Marso 11, 2026, na kumondena sa mga pag-atake ng Iran at nanawagan ng agarang pagtigil ng mga ito.

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met today with His Excellency Ferdinand R Marcos Jr, President of the Republic of the Philippines, to review the two countries’ longstanding ties.
