𝗠𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠𝗢 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗬𝗔, 𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗦, 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗛 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗘 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

On the evening of May 09, 2026, a motorbanca carrying four (4) individuals became semi-submerged while traversing the waters between Caluya and Tinogboc due to rough sea conditions and strong waves that caused the vessel to take in water.

The incident was reported at approximately 7:48 PM through phone calls, chat messages, and social media posts, prompting the immediate response of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and BLGU Semirara, in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and other concerned agencies.

Responding teams immediately conducted search and rescue operations in the affected area while maintaining continuous coordination and communication throughout the operation.

At approximately 8:55 PM, the two individuals onboard were visually located and confirmed safe. Rescue personnel successfully retrieved both individuals, safely concluding the operation.

The successful rescue operation highlights the importance of inter-agency coordination, rapid response, and community reporting during maritime emergencies.

Both individuals were confirmed safe, and search and rescue operations were officially concluded successfully.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), together with the Municipal Health Office (MHO) personnel, provided emergency response and medical assistance during the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Reassessment Activity conducted in Barangay Semirara Caluya, Antique

The activity was participated in by the PMobile CRS and National ID Team of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), with the assistance and coordination of the Municipal Civil Registrar (MCR), Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) personnel, Barangay Health Workers (BHW) of Barangay Semirara and personnel from BLGU Semirara.

The deployment aimed to ensure the safety, health, and immediate medical support of all personnel and constituents involved throughout the conduct of the activity.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Caluya provided medical first aid standby and emergency response support during the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Reassessment conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and National ID teams, in coordination with the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), for the residents of Sibay Island and Sibolo Island.

Deployed personnel including the Philippine National Police (PNP) of Caluya ensured immediate medical assistance, safety, security, and maintained response readiness throughout the activity, helping ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the reassessment in both areas.

MDRRMO Caluya remains committed to supporting inter-agency efforts and safeguarding the welfare of every community.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in coordination with the Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Caluya, deployed personnel to provide first aid, emergency, and medical response coverage during the Championship Games of Basketball and Volleyball for the Mayor's Cup 2026 in Caluya, Antique.

Medical teams were stationed on-site to respond to any incidents and assist participants and spectators as needed.

𝗠𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗛𝗢 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗬𝗔 𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗨𝗧𝗬 𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗔 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Ensuring safety alongside adventure, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Caluya, in partnership with the Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Caluya, actively provided medical and first aid support during the Obstacle Course activity of the CISDAA Integrated Camp 2026.

With the physically demanding nature of the course, both teams remained on standby throughout the activity, ready to respond to any injuries, fatigue, or emergencies. Equipped with essential medical supplies and trained personnel, they ensured that all participants could safely engage in the challenges while promoting awareness on basic first aid and emergency response.
