𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 || 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗧 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗥 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘 (𝗖𝗢𝗤𝗖) 𝗖𝗟 𝟬𝟮 - 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 "𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗚 - 𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗚"

The Caraga State University-Cabadbaran Campus ROTC Unit (Affiliated) under the supervision of the 1501st (ADN) Community Defense Center, 15RCDG, RESCOM, PA, spearheaded by the CDC Director, MAJ REGIE Q BRIONES (CE) PA, successfully conducted the Opening Ceremony of the Cadet Officer Qualifying Course (COQC) training "SANDIG-KALASAG" CL 02-2026. A total of forthy (40) cadets participated, composed of twenty-three (23) males and seventeen (17) females, held at the Gymnasium, Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus, T. Curato St., Cabadbaran City on 24 October 2026.

The Cadet Officer Qualifying Course or COQC is a training program designed to prepare cadets for leadership roles within the ROTC and the military. It focuses on developing the necessary skills and knowledge for cadets to become effective officers, including leadership, management, and other essential military competencies.

The ceremony commenced with the Entrance of Colors, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the Invocation. Our ROTC Coordinator, Mrs. Christine Rose T. Bernal, delivered her Welcome Remarks expressing her full support to the aspiring cadet officers. She reminded the participants to stay committed and to value the opportunity to be trained as future leaders. This was followed by an Inspirational Message from the NSTP Head, Mrs. Cora B. Cabonce, MAHE, who motivated the participants to remain disciplined and determined throughout the training. She emphasized that true leadership comes with sacrifice, perseverance, and a heart to serve.

The forty (40) strong participants of CL 02-2026 "SANDIG-KALASAG" were formally presented by Cpl Janny A Jaca (Inf) PA. And the formal Declaration for the Opening of COQC Training was thereafter announced by 2LT GIUVANNI AGCOPRA PA (RES), who officially declared the start of the training and encouraged the participants to give their best throughout the course.

The highlight of the program was the Message from the Keynote Speaker, MAJ REGIE Q BRIONES (CE) PA. He emphasized the true essence of leadership, service, and camaraderie as future cadet officers. He also reminded the participants that being a cadet officer is not just about rank, but about responsibility, and he challenged them to lead with integrity and purpose.

The activity ended successfully with a photo opportunity and a renewed commitment from all participants. It marked not only the beginning of their formal training but also the start of their journey toward becoming disciplined, responsible, and service-oriented leaders of the CSUCC ROTC Unit.

The Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus ROTC Unit proudly congratulates Sgt Sherwin A Mero Inf PA (Res) for being part of the 15th Regional Community Defense Group (15RCDG) team that emerged as the Overall Champion in the 2nd Eastern Mindanao Command (EMC) Reservist Challenge 2026, held on October 15–17, 2026.

Your dedication, discipline, and commitment to service bring honor and pride to the Army Reserve Force. May this achievement inspire fellow reservists and cadets to continue striving for excellence.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 || 4𝗧𝗛 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

The Caraga State University - Cabadbaran Campus ROTC Unit (Affiliated), under the supervision of 1501st (ADN) Community Defense Center, 15RCDG, RESCOM, PA, situated at Camp Romualdo Rubi, Bancasi, Butuan City, conducted its 4th General Saturday Formation on 17 October 2026.

The activity was successfully conducted under the supervision of MAJ Regie Q Briones (CE) PA, ROTC Commandant of CSUCC ROTC Unit, with the guidance of ROTC Coordinator, Ms. Christine Rose T. Bernal, together with other training staff.

The field formation began precisely at exactly 0700H, followed by checking of attendance, accounting, and an inspection of the cadets' proper bearing and grooming. Once all the cadets were accounted for and inspected, the basic cadets practiced Drills and Ceremonies. This included general drill information, basic commands such as parade rest, stationary movement and marching, facing, and command voice.

At exactly 0900H, the basic cadets were directed inside the gymnasium for their classroom instruction. The topic discussed was Military Customs and Traditions, and Standard of Conduct for a Soldier, which was discussed by Sgt Aubrey Lumindas PA (Res), Graduate Military Assistant and Cpl Bertoldo S Lolor Jr PA (Res), Graduate Military Assistant.

The classroom instruction aims to instill discipline, respect, and professionalism among ROTC cadets, reinforcing core military values such as courtesy, loyalty, and adherence to proper conduct as future leaders and citizen soldiers.

The deployment of the Corps of Cadet Officers was led by CDT LTC CLINT A BACAT (ROTC) 1CL, Corps Commander of the unit. The said event ended successfully without any mishaps reported and adjourned.

This serves as an official 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗣 for the listed ROTC Basic Cadets who have accumulated three (3) to four (4) absences.

Cadets concerned are 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 and comply immediately with all required instructions. Failure to do so shall result in appropriate administrative and academic action.

Furthermore, all ROTC Basic Cadets who have already incurred absences are hereby informed that their attendance will be strictly monitored during the upcoming Saturday formation. Any additional absence may warrant inclusion in the next list and corresponding action.

On 10 October 2026, The Caraga State University- Cabadbaran Campus ROTC Unit (Affiliated) under the supervision of 1501st (ADN) Community Defense Center, 15RCDG, RESCOM, PA, situated at Camp Romualdo Rubi, Bancasi, Butuan City, successfully conducted the Clean-Up Drive Activity. The event was successfully conducted under the supervision of MAJ Regie Q Briones (CE) PA, ROTC Commandant of CSUCC ROTC Unit, with the guidance of ROTC Coordinator, Ms. Christine Rose T. Bernal, together with our Assistant Tactical NCO, Cpl Janny A Jaca (Inf) PA, and our Operation NCO Sgt Sherwin A Mero Inf PA (Res), along with the Training Staff.

The field formation began precisely at exactly 0700H, and then checking of attendance, accounting, and an inspection of the cadets' proper bearing and grooming. Once all the cadets were accounted for and inspected, the basic cadets practice in Drills and Ceremonies. This included general drill information, basic commands such as parade rest, stationary movement and marching, facing, and command voice.

At exactly 0900H, for the following activity, the basic elements proceeded to their designated area for the Clean-Up Drive Activity. It cultivates a strong sense of discipline and selflessness among ROTC cadets, reinforcing core values such as respect, responsibility, and teamwork. By actively engaging in the meticulous removal of litter and debris from their surroundings, cadets demonstrate their willingness to take ownership of their environment and contribute towards its upkeep, reflecting the ethos of service that is fundamental to the Reserve Officers Training Corps mission.

The deployment of the Corps of Cadet Officers was led by CDT LTC CLINT A BACAT (ROTC) 1CL, Corps Commander of the unit, the said event ended successfully without any mishaps reported and adjourned.
