We’re so proud to say that the Foodbanks in Biddulph are part of the Biddulph Works Together partnership.

They do some amazing work supporting people in our town- thank you!

Many of the churches and supermarkets also take donations too.

💜It is observed annually on the first Friday of September to raise awareness about hunger, honour volunteers, and encourage food and fund donations for local hunger-relief organisations. 💜

📍 Come and talk to us about the future of Biddulph!
Biddulph Town Council representatives will have a stall at Homegrown & Handmade at Biddulph Town Hall on Saturday 5 September, and we’d love you to come and have a chat.

A lot is happening in local government at the moment, and we know that Local Government Reorganisation can be confusing.

What does it mean for Biddulph? What is changing? And what does it mean for the services and places that matter to our community?

We’ll be there to help explain what we know, answer your questions and point you towards further information.

We’ll also be asking for your views about asset transfer — particularly the buildings, spaces and facilities that could potentially have a future role in the community.

We can’t change the decision that Biddulph will become part of North Staffordshire, but we can make sure people have the opportunity to understand what is happening, ask questions and have their say about what happens next.

So, if you’ve got questions, concerns, ideas — or you just want to find out more — come and see us at the Town Hall on 5 September.

BIDDULPH HOMEGROWN & HANDMADE – THIS SATURDAY!

We’re getting ready for a wonderful day celebrating all things homegrown, handmade, creative and community!

✨ IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OUR EXHIBITORS:
Entries for the Homegrown & Handmade competition can be brought into the Town Hall during this week or on Saturday morning from 9am for staging.

The event itself does NOT open until 11am. So if you’re bringing an entry on Saturday, you’re very welcome to arrive early, drop off your entry and head home before coming back later — or simply bring your entry during the week and join us from 11am. 😊

And plenty is happening throughout the day!

🧶 Biddulph Yarnbarms will be joining us with a fabulous selection of handmade items to buy, and they’ll be on hand for a chat if you’re interested in crochet, knitting and all things yarn!

🌱 Biddulph in Biddulph In Bloom & Caroline Hough will have lots of beautiful plants available to buy — perfect for brightening up your garden or home.

🧵 Crafts By Sue will be bringing along her lovely handmade craft items.

🍓 Hedgerow Preserves will be available to tempt you home with something delicious.

🌸 The incredibly talented Biddulph Flower Club will be showcasing some fabulous floral displays and talking you through how you can create your own. (FREE)

☕🍰 Biddulph Local People's Group will be keeping everyone supplied with the fundamental ingredients for a good community event — tea and homemade cake! 😋 They will also be showcasing and selling the items that this clever group makes in their sessions.

🌿 Biddulph Allotment Holders will be sharing an introduction to composting, plus there’ll be a FREE cress-head activity for the children. 🌱👧🧒

🧄🥖 Last year it was wonderful watching people wandering around with their trays of homemade focaccia! This year, Carolyn is back with a delicious hands-on activity where you can make your own dough balls and garlic & herb butter to take home and enjoy.(FREE)

💚 The incredibly kind and talented Biddulph Sewing Group will be giving away FREE homemade Morsbags — perfect for carrying your shopping — as well as FREE Mastectomy Hearts.

🏛️ As we look towards Local Government Reorganisation, there’ll also be an opportunity to chat with the Town Council about community assets and find out more about what this could mean for our town.

🌿🎉 And finally… get ready for a game of FREE Plant Bingo!🌱

Plus, of course, you’ll be able to wander around and admire all of the wonderful Homegrown & Handmade entries — from fruit and vegetables to baking, crafts, flowers and more. 🥕🍰🌺🎨

It really is a celebration of the amazing talent, creativity and community spirit we have right here in Biddulph.
