Biddulph Grange Garden

Biddulph Grange Garden A delightful high Victorian garden -- an extraordinary survival from the 19th century. Travel through time as the gallery depicts the Creation story.

This amazing Victorian garden was created by James Bateman for his collection of plants from around the world. A visit takes you on a global journey from Italy to the pyramids of Egypt, a Victorian vision of China and a re-creation of a Himalayan glen. The garden features collections of rhododendrons, summer bedding displays, a stunning dahlia walk in late summer and the oldest surviving golden la

rch in Britain, brought from China in the 1850s. In the Geological Gallery see how Bateman reconciled geology and theology.

August Scone of the Month is….
Blueberry and Oat
A fluffy scone, baked with fresh blueberries and drizzled with white chocolate and oats. A delicious treat why not make it a cream tea? Add clotted cream and jam.
Can you guess what next month’s scone is?

We have lots of smaller ornaments to help decorate your outdoor space. Why not bring the gentle beauty of nature into your garden or balcony with something like this charming Two Birds on a Branch ornament. Crafted from durable cast iron, the detailed design captures the quiet elegance of two birds perched together, adding character and a sense of calm to any outdoor space. Or perhaps a small solar lantern or mushroom themed birdfeeder. We are open daily from 11.00am until 5.30pm and you can shop here without being a member.
